ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police continue a large-scale crackdown against criminal elements across the federal capital on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson told APP that during various operations, 13 accused involved in motorcycle theft, drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons have been arrested.
He said the police also recovered 3,843 grams of heroin, 1,690 grams of ice, 1,597 grams of hashish, four 30 bore pistols, two 9mm pistols, and a dagger from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused, and further investigations are underway.
The arrested accused were identified as Haider, Azam, Irfan Haider, Ibrahim, Nazar, Zaheer, Qasim Abbas, Haider Ijaz, Zeeshan, Arman Khan, Abdul Qadir, Danish, and Ehtisham Ashiq.
SSP Operations Muhammad Arsalan Shahzeb directed all zonal SPs to intensify the crackdown against criminal elements and ensure that stolen property is recovered and returned to its rightful owners.
SSP further said that Islamabad Police remain committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens and taking all necessary measures to uphold the rule of law.
