RAWALPINDI, Oct 26 (APP):After a video showing alleged torture of a citizen at the Judicial Complex surfaced, City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has taken notice of the incident and sought an immediate report from SP Potohar Division.
Following the CPO’s directives, Civil Lines Police swiftly traced and arrested both accused allegedly involved in the incident.
CPO Hamdani stated that no act of violence against any citizen is acceptable under any circumstances, emphasizing that the police force responsible to protect the lives and property of the public.
He reaffirmed that a zero-tolerance policy will be implemented against any personnel who take the law into their own hands.
According to a Rawalpindi police spokesperson, a case has been registered against the arrested accused based on solid evidence to ensure they face appropriate punishment in court.
