RAWALPINDI, Oct 22 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani suspended Sub-Inspector of Waris Khan police station for poor investigation following a citizen’s complaint during an open court held at Chaklala and Morgah police stations.
The officer identified as Khalid was transferred to the police lines with immediate effect. The open court, aligned with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision, aimed to address public grievances promptly. CPO Hamdani listened to citizens’ complaints and issued on-the-spot directives for their resolution.
SSP Investigation, SP Potohar, SDPO Civil Lines, SHOs, and investigation officers, a large number of citizens, civil society representatives, and members of the traders’ community were present on the occasion.
CPO Hamdani emphasized that resolving issues at the police station level is a top priority, underscoring the police’s commitment to service delivery, merit, and the rule of law. He reiterated that protecting citizens’ lives and property remains the police’s foremost duty.
The traders’ association and open court participants commended CPO Hamdani and Rawalpindi Police for their effective crime control measures and dedication to public service.
