CPO reviews Pak-Sri Lanka Cricket Security, directs strict implementation of Section 144

City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira held a meeting at Police Lines Headquarters to review security arrangements for Pak Sri Lanka T20 cricket series and the overall law and order situation in the city.

RAWALPINDI, Oct 11 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira held a meeting at Police Lines Headquarters to review security arrangements for Pak Sri Lanka T20 cricket series and the overall law and order situation in the city.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, SSP Investigation, SP Security, SP Headquarters, divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other senior police officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the CPO reviewed security measures for the cricket series and arrangements to maintain law and order across the city.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira said foolproof security arrangements had been made for the cricket series, while special measures were in place to maintain peace and order in Rawalpindi.
He said Section 144 was in force across the city and its implementation would be ensured. Legal action would be taken against anyone found violating the restrictions.
The CPO urged citizens to refrain from participating in any illegal or disruptive activities. He added that protecting the lives, property and assets of citizens was the police’s foremost responsibility, and all necessary measures would be taken to ensure their safety.
