MULTAN, Nov 06 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar met players of the Pakistan National Hockey Academy Matti Tal at his office, where he distributed hockey sticks among the young athletes and commended their dedication to the national sport.
During the meeting, the CPO emphasized the importance of promoting sports among the youth, stating that encouraging young people to engage in healthy activities like hockey contributes to building a positive and progressive society. He added that sports instill discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities essential for both personal and community development.
Highlighting the role of sports in strengthening community ties, the CPO announced that a friendly hockey match would soon be organized between the Multan Police Hockey Team and the National Hockey Academy Team. He said such initiatives help foster stronger relations between the police and the public, enhancing trust and cooperation through positive engagement.
The CPO noted that community-oriented activities, including sports events, play a vital role in promoting the spirit of “community policing” and bridging the gap between law enforcement and citizens.
He encouraged the players to continue their hard work and maintain high standards of discipline, calling discipline “the key to lasting success both on and off the field.”
The players and coaches of the Pakistan National Hockey Academy expressed gratitude to the CPO for his support and appreciation, acknowledging his keen interest in the promotion of sports and youth development in Multan.
