RAWALPINDI, Jan 29 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani on Thursday chaired a meeting with office-bearers of the Rawalpindi District Bar Association at Police Headquarters to discuss measures to enhance cooperation between the police and legal fraternity.
The meeting was attended by Rawalpindi District Bar Association President Advocate Tariq Mahmood Sajid Awan, Taxila Bar Association President Advocate Malik Sajjad, Gujar Khan Bar Association President Advocate Rashid Mubeen, Kallar Syedan Bar Association President Advocate Rifana Malik, and other office-bearers.
Senior police officials, including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation, Chief Traffic Officer, Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarters, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Legal, also participated.
CPO Hamdani said efforts would be made to further strengthen ties between the bar association and the police. “Good relations between lawyers and police reinforce the justice system and ensure its effectiveness,” he added.
He emphasised that through mutual cooperation, both justice delivery and public service could be improved, noting that police and lawyers played crucial roles in serving the public. He urged the legal community to highlight shortcomings in investigative matters to ensure that offenders received appropriate punishments.
A Rawalpindi Police spokesman said the meeting aimed to promote collaboration for more effective law enforcement and justice delivery.
