CPO directs to maintain smooth flow of traffic across Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Jun 19 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has directed traffic authorities to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow on all major roads and highways of the city emphasizing that public convenience and efficient traffic management must be ensured at all times.
The directive was issued during an open court (Khuli Katchery) held at Cantonment Police Station and the City Traffic Police Headquarters in line with the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
The session was attended by SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, Chief Traffic Officer, SP Potohar, DSP Cantt, circle SHOs, and other investigation and traffic officers.
A large number of citizens participated in the open court and presented their complaints and concerns.
The CPO personally heard the issues and issued on-the-spot instructions for their resolution.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani said that timely redressal of public complaints and the provision of quality services remain among the top priorities of Rawalpindi Police.
The public service, merit and the rule of law are the police’s top priorities, he added.
The CPO also instructed officers to ensure the provision of the best possible facilities to citizens and reiterated that all necessary measures are being taken to safeguard the lives and property of the public. He said direct engagement with citizens through open courts helps strengthen public trust and improve police performance.
