LAHORE, Dec 15 (APP): A sessions court on Monday sentenced a man to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 300,000 for murdering his wife.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ijaz Ahmed Bosal announced the verdict of the case after concluding the trial. The prosecution presented 14 witnesses, and after examining the evidence and testimonies on record, the court found the accused guilty.
According to the prosecution, the convict, Mudassar, was married to the deceased, Ayesha, for 13 years and the couple had three daughters. The accused frequently quarreled with his wife over the birth of daughters. On the day of the incident, Mudassar strangled Ayesha to death during a domestic dispute.
Shafiqabad police had registered the case against the accused in 2024.
