LAHORE, Jul 16 (APP):A sessions court on Wednesday sought a response from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on a petition seeking registration of a blasphemy case against YouTuber and TikToker Rajab Butt.
An additional district and sessions judge heard the petition filed by a citizen, Shehzada Adnan.
The petitioner’s counsel alleged that Rajab Butt used inappropriate and offensive language regarding a religious matter in a video circulated on social media platforms. He informed that the complainant had approached NCCIA earlier to register a case, but no action was taken. He requested the court to direct the agency to initiate legal proceedings against the YouTuber.
Subsequently, the court issued a notice to the NCCIA and directed the agency to submit its reply.
