LAHORE, Oct 30 (APP): A local court granted a three-day physical remand of Muhammad Usman, Deputy Director of the National Crime and Cyber Investigation Agency (NCCIA), who was arrested on charges of misuse of authority and extorting bribes.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced the accused before Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo and sought a 14-day physical remand.
However, the court  approved only three days remand of the accused for investigation and directed to produce him on expiry of the remand term, says an October 29 order issued here on Thursday.
The FIA stated that the accused, colluding with other NCCIA officials, misused authority and extorted bribes.
Usman was nominated in the case registered by Aroob Jatoi, the wife of YouTuber Saadur Rehman alias Ducky Bhai, who was arrested in a case pertaining to promoting gambling apps on social media.
