RAWALPINDI, Jun 18 (APP): Additional District and Sessions Judge Ahsan Raza today granted a 2-day physical remand of accused Chaudhry Tanveer, former MPA who was presented before the court in an ambulance from Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC).
According to the details, police had sought 7-day remand for mobile phone recovery and forensic analysis in a case registered under Section 109 PPC. The accused, whose pre-arrest bail was dismissed by Lahore High Court on June 17, was brought to court following medical clearance by the hospital.
Defence counsels Malik Waheed Anjum, Chaudhry Yasir Chatta, Humair Saleem Cheena and Nadeem Akhtar Bhatti vehemently opposed the remand, arguing investigation was nearly complete and the request aimed to humiliate their client.
