ISLAMABAD, Jul 07 (APP):The Islamabad District and Sessions Court on Monday adjourned the proceedings in the controversial tweet cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati due to the judge’s absence.
The scheduled hearing in two cases filed against Azam Swati was postponed today at the District and Sessions Court Islamabad. The cases were related to alleged controversial tweets and are being investigated by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The court had listed the cases for hearing, but due to the unavailability of Judge Afzal Majoka, the proceedings could not take place. As a result, the next hearing has now been set for July 26.
According to court records, Azam Swati is facing two separate cases filed by the FIA, both registered in connection with his social media activity.
The court will now resume proceedings later this month, with further updates expected at the next hearing.
