BAHAWALPUR, Jul 23 (APP): Agriculture Department has advised cotton growers to pay special attention towards their standing crops during recent heavy rains.
According to a press release issued by the spokesman for department, the region has been facing monsoon weather besides receiving moderate to heavy rains.
“Although light rain causes benefits to standing crops of cotton,” he said, adding that however, cotton growers would have to adopt preventive measures during heavy rains.
He said that cotton growers would have to drainout accumulated rainwater from their fields within two to three days if heavy rain lashed their areas.
