ISLAMABAD, Nov 20 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Thursday inaugurated the central office of the Conciliation Committee at the DIG Islamabad headquarters, marking a key step toward strengthening community-level dispute resolution.
An official told APP that DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq attended the ceremony as the chief guest and formally opened the new office.
DIG Tariq highlighted that conciliation committees play an essential role in promoting social harmony and ensuring the timely resolution of public disputes. “The conciliation mechanism is an effective step toward resolving day-to-day conflicts within communities,” Muhammad Jawad Tariq added.
He further stated that the committees are significantly helping reduce disputes at the community level, enabling citizens to receive quick and peaceful settlements.
“Providing swift justice to citizens is the primary objective of the conciliation committees,” the DIG emphasized.
The DIG Tariq noted that the establishment of these centers aims to resolve personal and domestic issues efficiently and to provide immediate relief to the public. He said transparency, neutrality and merit are the core values of all conciliation centers.
DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq reaffirmed that helping and facilitating citizens in every possible way remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
