FAISALABAD, Jun 04 (APP):Commissioner Maryam Khan has ordered for chalking out a comprehensive cleanliness plan for Eid-ul-Azha across the division.
The waste management company has been assigned the task to conduct a one-time clean-up operation in all four districts before Eid.
She was chairing a meeting here on Wednesday, attended by the Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir, Additional Commissioner Coordination Amir Raza, CEO Waste Management Company Abdul Rauf Sharik and other officers.
Deputy Commissioners of Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot attended the meeting through video link.
The Commissioner ordered to provide best facilities to buyers and sellers of animals at all cattle markets of the division.
She also directed the local government department to ensure implementation of a ban imposed on the sale and purchase of animals in urban areas.
The commissioner Maryam Khan also visited the clean Punjab awareness camp in the city and issued some instructions to the CEO Waste Management Company.
She also distributed plastic bags and awareness pamphlets among the citizens.
She directed that all urban and rural areas should be made zero waste before Eid-ul-Azha.
Arrangements for garbage collection on Eid should be better than previous years, she said and urged the citizens to extend coordination with sanitary staff to keep the cities’ environment neat and clean.
She instructed the Deputy Commissioners to personally supervise the Eid sanitation operation.
