RAWALPINDI, Jun 24 (APP):Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bherth made detailed visits to districts Chakwal, Jhelum, Attock and Murree to review security and administrative arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.
According to the details, the minister inspected the route of the central procession in chakwal along with Deputy Commissioner Sarah Hayat, DPO Kashif Zulfiqar and scholars.
He reviewed security, facilities for mourners and law and order, and visited the district control room to examine CCTV monitoring and emergency response arrangements.
Officials briefed him that police were on high alert and measures had been taken to ensure religious harmony and public facilitation.
During his visit to Pind Dadan Khan in Jhelum, the minister inspected imambargahs and met organizers, while reviewing administrative and security arrangements.
He also visited the tehsil control room where officials briefed him on monitoring mechanisms.
In Attock, he chaired a meeting in Fateh Jang and was informed that 754 majalis and 145 processions would be held across the district. Tue minister was briefed that sensitive areas have been provided with additional deployment, while monitoring is being ensured through control rooms.
In Murree, the minister chaired a meeting and reviewed security plans, where officials said CCTV cameras would be used for effective monitoring of procession routes.
The minister directed the officials for ensuring foolproof security arrangements. He further directed for enhanced social media monitoring, provision of basic facilities including water and first aid support.
