Committee met to address teachers’ issues in KP

PESHAWAR, Aug 12 (APP):Minister for Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Khan Tarakai on Monday chaired a meeting of the committee formed to address the demands and issues of teachers.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary of Education Faiz Alam, Additional Director Dr. Muhammad Iqbal and other senior officials.
 During the meeting, the education minister was briefed on the issues and demands presented by various teachers’ unions.
The minister reiterated the government’s commitment to resolving the teachers’ issues and stated that various committees have been formed to find appropriate solutions. He said the purpose of the meeting was to review the actions taken by these committees.
He directed that a secretary-level meeting be convened within a week to resolve the issues related to the teachers’ CP Fund.
This meeting will include the Secretary of Finance, Secretary of Law, Secretary of Establishment, and Secretary of Education, and the Education Minister will chair it.
The minister instructed the officials to fully prepare for the upcoming meeting and to compile a comprehensive and actionable report, which will be submitted to the government for formal approval.
 He acknowledged that the province’s economic situation was not favorable but assured that the government was making every effort to address the legitimate demands of the teachers. He emphasized that the teachers’ issues were prioritized and resolved in previous terms as well, and the government was still striving to alleviate their difficulties so that teachers could focus on the education of students.
