SUKKUR, Dec 09 (APP):Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi on Tuesday visited Civil Hospital Sukkur and held a meeting with Medical Superintendent Dr. Ahmed Mujtaba Memon regarding hospital affairs. Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Sukkur, Bushra Mansoor, and other relevant officers were present.
He met with Dr. Ahmed Mujtaba Memon, the recently appointed Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Sukkur, for his second consecutive meeting with him. He obtained information from him on matters related to improvements in the hospital and the treatment facilities of patients.
On this occasion, Commissioner Sukkur stated that the Government of Sindh is taking healthcare facilities very seriously. There are special directives from the Chief Secretary Sindh that no stone should be left unturned in improving the affairs of Civil Hospital Sukkur, he added. The district administration and hospital administration must work together selflessly for the betterment of the hospital and patient facilities.
He also directed that the hospital administration remain in constant contact with the focal person nominated by him, Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Bushra Mansoor, regarding hospital matters and keep her informed of problems in a timely manner. He said that while removing shortcomings, things must be gradually steered towards improvement. This process may take some time, but we are very hopeful about bringing improvements to the hospital.
On this occasion, Medical Superintendent Dr assured that he would treat the responsibility entrusted to him for the hospital’s improvement as a challenge and fulfill it. He also drew the Commissioner’s attention to certain issues. Commissioner Sukkur assured that immediate steps would be taken for the early resolution of all issues, including the provision of modern machinery for the Eye and Orthopedic Departments, repair of radiology machinery, elimination of encroachments from the boundaries of Civil Hospital, and acquisition of an express feeder from SEPCO for the hospital.
On this occasion, Principal Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Sukkur Dr. Muhammad Saleh Channa, Assistant Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital Dr. Zahid Malik, Deputy Director Planning & Development Civil Hospital Sukkur Raza Hussain, and others were also present.
