SUKKUR, Oct 25 (APP):Divisional Commissioner Sukkur, Samiuddin Siddiqui on Wednesday paid tribute to all the polio workers for performing their duties with honesty during the anti-polio drives and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to end all forms of polio in the region
He emphasized the need for collective efforts to eradicate polio from the country. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony here in connection with World Polio Day.
He urged the youth, who are the architects of the country’s future, to come forward and play a role in supporting the efforts to make the country polio-free. He also encouraged parents to administer polio drops to their children for up to five years to protect them from this crippling disease.
Mayor Sukkur, Barrister Arslan Sheikh has said that the role of teachers and students cannot be ignored, and they should also contribute their efforts towards the eradication of polio.
He urged parents living in far-flung areas of the country to cooperate with the polio teams, and “save your children from this fatal disease.”
