Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad reviews polio campaign in Sanghar
SANGHHAR, Sep 23 (APP):Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division Ghulam Qadir Khan Talpur on Wednesday visited several areas of Sanghar district, including Khipro, Jam Nawaz Ali, Shahdadpur and Tando Adam, to review the ongoing anti-polio campaign.
Health department officials briefed the commissioner on the campaign, deployment of vaccination teams and progress towards the assigned targets. He visited various vaccination sites, observed teams administering polio drops to children and reviewed their attendance, performance, records and coverage.
Mr Talpur directed the concerned officials to ensure that no child in the district was missed during the campaign. He also urged parents to have all children under five vaccinated against polio to protect them from the debilitating disease.
The commissioner instructed polio teams to conduct door-to-door visits, administer the vaccine and create awareness among parents. He stressed the need for effective coordination among all relevant departments to achieve the campaign targets.
He also inspected transit points, where assistant commissioners and health officials briefed him on monitoring arrangements. The officials assured him that all relevant departments were working in coordination to ensure the success of the campaign.
