DERA ISMAIL KHAN , Jun 29 (APP):Commissioner Dera Division Zafar-ul-Islam Khattak and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar paid a surprise visit to the Police Command and Control Centre, established at Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines, to review security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.
The visit aimed to ensure foolproof security for the Imambargahs and the traditional routes of mourning processions in Dera Ismail Khan.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, District Police Officer (DPO) Sajad Ahmad Sahibzada, and senior officials of the security forces accompanied them during the visit.
On the occasion, DPO Dera and DSP Legal Imran Kundi, who is also in charge of the Command and Control Centre, briefed the Commissioner and the RPO about the overall security plan, including the arrangements for Majalis, mourning processions, and other religious ceremonies being held during Muharram.
The dignitaries closely monitored security measures through live CCTV footage and expressed satisfaction over the preparations made for the holy month.
They emphasized that maintaining peace during Muharram was a collective responsibility and urged the public to extend full cooperation with the district administration and law enforcement agencies to prevent any untoward incidents.
The officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring a peaceful environment for all religious activities during Muharram.
