Commissioner reviews security for Khatm-e-Nabuwwat conference in Chiniot

FAISALABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar, along with Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Zeeshan Asghar, visited Chiniot and reviewed security and administrative arrangements for the upcoming annual International Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference scheduled to be held on October 30 and 31.
During visit, he inspected various facilities at the conference venue in Chenab Nagar and met with the organizers to ensure all necessary measures were in place for the large religious gathering.
He directed that a Clinic-on-Wheels unit should be stationed at the venue to provide emergency medical assistance to the participants.
He also reviewed the available parking sites and stressed the need for foolproof security arrangements. In this connection, walk-through gates should be installed at all entry and exit points, he added.
He also directed Punjab Food Authority (PFA) to monitor the quality of food and drinking water during the event.
He ordered the maintenance of highest cleanliness standards along with regular water sprinkling to control dust.
Thorough and continuous monitoring through CCTV cameras was also imperative to ensure the safety of participants, he added.
Raja Jahangir Anwar lauded the role of religious scholars in promoting peace and harmony and urging them to continue cooperating with the administration and police in maintaining law and order.
The conference organizers including Maulvi Tauseef and other clerics raised some logistical issues and Divisional Commissioner assured them for prompt resolution and full administrative support for the smooth conduct of the conference.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chiniot Safiullah Gondal and District Police Officer (DPO) Abdullah Ahmed were also present on the spot.
