LAHORE, Feb 11 (APP): Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan on Wednesday chaired a divisional meeting to review progress on the Ramazan Negahban Package, Ramazan Dastarkhwan arrangements, Suthra Punjab campaign and ongoing beautification schemes, directing officials to ensure timely implementation of all initiatives across the division.
The meeting was informed that distribution of Ramazan cards under the Ramazan Negahban Package was set to begin, with camp sites finalized in all districts for smooth disbursement. Deputy commissioners of the four districts of Lahore Division briefed the meeting on preparations, saying that committees had been formed for Ramazan Dastarkhwan arrangements while philanthropists would support the initiative.
The Commissioner said that under the Ramazan Negahban Package, Ramazan cards would be distributed in all districts, adding that nine Ramazan Dastarkhwans were being established in every tehsil of the division to facilitate deserving citizens during the holy month. She said that, in line with the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars were being set up across the division to ensure availability of essential commodities at affordable prices.
Commissioner Marryam Khan also stressed that work on urban beautification schemes must be completed strictly in accordance with the given timelines, directing officers to accelerate pace of development works.
The meeting was attended by DC Lahore Capt (R) Ali Ijaz, DC Sheikhupura Shahid Imran Marth, DC Nankana Rao Tasleem Akhtar, DC Kasur Asif Raza and ACG Wajeeha Samreen.
