SARGODHA, Oct 27 (APP):Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan chaired a weekly meeting to assess the progress of various departments on ongoing projects aimed at improving city infrastructure and services.
The meeting focused on several key areas, including city cleanliness, WASA’s performance, anti-encroachment operations, municipal corporation affairs, city beautification efforts, park and green belt maintenance, the tree plantation drive, street lighting, stray dog control, the construction of green bus stands, and the operations of the Punjab Food Authority.
Commissioner Awan directed all relevant departments to ensure the effective implementation of their respective targets, with a strong emphasis on enhancing citizen facilities. He stressed that there would be no tolerance for laxity in areas such as cleanliness, park maintenance, encroachment removal, and the timely resolution of public complaints.
Furthermore, the Commissioner urged department officials to expedite public projects and adopt a more integrated approach to improving service delivery across the city.
