SARGODHA, Jul 04 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Jahanzeb Awan on Friday reviewed arrangements for Category-A mourning procession on 8th OF MUharram in Sargodha city.
According to a spokesperson here, the commissioner was accompanied by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Shahzad Asif Khan, Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Waseem, and District Police Officer Sohaib Ashraf.
The procession started from Block No 20 and passed through various streets before concluding at Block No 7.
The commissioner and other officials inspected the route and checked the arrangements, including sabils providing cold water, medical camps and sanitation facilities.
Jahanzeb Awan expressed satisfaction with the security and administrative arrangements, saying that the district administration is providing all possible facilities to mourners during Muharram.
The RPO said that the police, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies are working together to ensure the security of the processions and maintain law and order.
The commissioner and RPO emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order during Muharram and assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure their safety and security.
They also appreciated the efforts of the teams working tirelessly to ensure the success of the Muharram arrangements.
