SARGODHA, Jul 17 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Jahanzeb Awan on Thursday visited the Divisional Flood Control Room to assess the preparedness and emergency response arrangements in place to tackle potential flood situations.
he reviewed the modern monitoring systems, recording, real-time data, and communication network in place at the Flood Control Room, says a spokesperson for the Commissioner office here.
The commissioner directed all departments to remain on high alert and ensure that all relevant officials are available to respond promptly to any emergency situation. He inspected the flood management records, equipment, wireless systems, and other facilities, emphasizing that no compromise will be tolerated in emergency response efforts to protect lives and property.
Jahanzeb Awan instructed that Flood Control Rooms in all districts should be kept functional, and local populations should be provided with timely alerts and rescue instructions. He said that the administration is taking proactive measures to ensure public safety and minimize the impact of potential flooding.
