SARGODHA, Jan 01 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Division Jehanzaib Awan on Thursday visited the recently completed Model Agri Mall and reviewed the modern agricultural facilities being provided to farmers under one roof.
According to the official spokesperson here, the Model Agri Mall is being termed a significant milestone towards agricultural development in the region, constructed at a cost of Rs 220 million,
During the visit, the commissioner was informed that the facility offers comprehensive services related to agriculture and livestock, including access to modern farm machinery, quality seeds, fertilizers and other allied inputs.
Director Agriculture Shahid Hussain and Incharge Agri Mall Asfand Qureshi briefed him on various display points, service sectors and operational features of the facility.
The Agri Mall administration stated that the centre has been fully operational for the past two months and has received an encouraging response from the farming community. Agricultural graduates are deployed at the facility to guide farmers on modern farming practices and provide technical assistance.
The Agri Mall operates from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and also houses a dedicated trading centre.
The Commissioner described the Model Agri Mall as a farmer-friendly initiative that would play a vital role in enhancing agricultural productivity and promoting modern technology.
He appreciated the overall performance of the facility and termed it an important step towards sustainable agricultural growth.
ADC Headquarters Majid bin Ahmed and Managing Director Horticulture Authority Muhammad Arshad were also present during the visit.
