SIALKOT, Oct 15 (APP): Commissioner Gujranwala Division Syed Naveed Haider on Wednesday directed doctors and medical staff to ensure timely provision of medicines and to treat patients with compassion and courtesy.
He issued these instructions during his visit to the Government Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital (GAITH) in Sialkot. During the inspection, he reviewed the Outpatient Department (OPD), Radiology Department, various wards, and the under-construction 500-bed building being developed under the supervision of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department.
Commissioner Naveed Haider said that the Punjab government was taking effective measures to upgrade healthcare facilities across the province to ensure the provision of quality treatment and medicines to citizens.
Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Abbas Zulqarnain, Medical Superintendent Dr. Sohail Anjum, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
