BAHAWALPUR, Jun 22 (APP):Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia on Monday visited the Bahawalpur Development Authority and received a detailed briefing from Director BDA Rubina Iqbal
Abbasi regarding ongoing development projects, construction activities and administrative
matters of the authority.
The commissioner directed that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam
Nawaz, timely completion of development projects should be ensured, while quality,
transparency and speed in construction work must remain top priorities.
He said efforts to establish housing schemes should be accelerated to make development
authorities self-sufficient. He stressed that no compromise would be made on the quality
of construction material being used in development projects.
During his visit, Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia also inspected the laboratory testing facility
of the Bahawalpur Development Authority and directed the officers concerned to further
improve the testing process of construction materials and ensure maintenance of laboratory
standards.
Later, the commissioner participated in the plantation drive by planting a sapling at the
BDA office lawn. He said promoting tree plantation was essential for creating a clean
and green environment.
