Commissioner reviews BoR progress

SARGODHA, Jul 22 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti on Monday reviewed the progress and various achievements of the Board of Revenue.
Presiding over a meeting here on Monday, he stressed the need for paying special
attention towards deputy commissioners for the goals of agricultural income tax and
recovery of other taxes. He took notice of the arrears of registration fee and ordered
an inquiry against the defaulters.
He said the first priority should be given to the contractor for leasing out the agricultural
land so that it was not economically exploited. He also sought a report from the four
deputy commissioners regarding the lease of government agricultural land.
The commissioner directed the revenue officers to resolve the cases pending for
more than one year, as early as possible. The Deputy Commissioners discussed the initiatives of Board of Revenue (BoR)
on transfer fee, agricultural income tax, stamp paper duty, water rate, FBR collection,
registration fee, agricultural income tax on lease, commercial plazas established
at government lands and auction of shops, collection of conveyance fee, uploading
of government land details on BOR portal, distribution of inheritances, PIs of Punjab
Land Records Authority (PLRA), settlement issues and cases pending before revenue
officers were briefed.
Several important decisions were taken to improve the performance of revenue officers
in the meeting.  Deputy Commissioners, and Additional Deputy Commissioners (Revenue) of Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar along with Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Aurangzeb Haider Khan, ADCR Mohsin Salahuddin and ADCR Malik Muhammad Ashraf attended the meeting.
