Commissioner Zaid bin Maqsood also directed WASA to ensure that all drainage machinery is operational, and that backup systems at disposal stations remain fully functional. Emergency camps must be established at major drainage points to promptly address blockages during the rain.
Special teams from WASA, LDA, MCL, and CBD have been instructed to remain continuously active within their respective jurisdictions. The commissioner also stressed the need for effective drainage in low-lying areas and along major roads, while ensuring that all underpass machinery remains functional.
