ABBOTTABAD, Jul 16 (APP):Commissioner Hazara Division Fayaz Ali Shah Wednesday presided over a high-level meeting focused on the removal of encroachments along the Mahandri-Jalkhad Road.
The session, held to address mounting concerns over illegal constructions, also covered encroachments on the Naran-Kaghan Road.
During the meeting, the Member North of the National Highway Authority (NHA) briefed participants on the current situation and shared updates on related infrastructure and encroachment issues.
To tackle the problem, the Commissioner constituted a committee under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Mansehra.
The committee has been tasked with inspecting the Naran-Kaghan Road within three days, marking all identified encroachments, and surveying illegal constructions along the riverbanks. A comprehensive report is to be submitted to the Commissioner’s Office.
Commissioner Shah directed the ADCG to also identify appropriate locations along the route for the construction of public restrooms to facilitate tourists and travelers, in coordination with the NHA.
The Commissioner instructed NHA officials to issue legal notices to all individuals responsible for encroachments and take legal action accordingly. He assured that the Mansehra district administration would fully cooperate with the NHA in ensuring the removal of unlawful structures.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Director General of the Kaghan Development Authority and the Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mansehra.
