SARGODHA, Oct 22 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Division Jahanzeb Awan on Wednesday ordered to take strict action against unqualified practitioners, fake doctors, and unregistered clinics.
He issued orders while chairing a meeting to review efforts to eliminate quackery and take action against unqualified practitioners.
During the meeting, Head of the Anti-Quackery Wing of the Punjab Healthcare Commission, Brigadier (R) Dr Muhammad Khalid Razaq, briefed the meeting on actions taken against quackery in Sargodha Division.
The commissioner stressed that quackery poses a serious threat to public health and directed that joint operations be conducted by the Health Department, police, and district administration to ensure quality and safe medical care for the public. He instructed all deputy commissioners to activate Anti-Quackery Committees at the district level.
Brigadier (retd) Dr Muhammad Khalid Razaq assured that the Punjab Healthcare Commission would continue to collaborate with district administrations to eliminate quackery.
