SARGODHGA,Jan 10 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Saturday summoned officers of the Sargodha Waste Management Company (SWMC) and reviewed the overall operations of the company.
According to a spokesperson,SWMC Chief Executive Officer Rana Shahid Imran briefed the commissioner on human resources,field staff, fleet management, waste containers, machinery, landfill sites, waste collection system and the public complaint mechanism.
The briefing also covered primary and door-to-door waste collection, public awareness campaigns, the fine system and the online vehicle tracking system.
The commissioner said that providing a clean and healthy environment to citizens is a top priority of the Punjab government.
He stressed effective monitoring of field operations, improvement in cleanliness standards and ensuring door-to-door waste collection across the division.
He directed officials to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints,keep the online vehicle tracking system fully operational, strengthen public awareness campaigns and implement the fine system transparently.
Director Local Government Asif Iqbal Malik and other senior SWMC officers were also present at the meeting.
