KARACHI, Apr 08 (APP):Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi on Wednesday directed Deputy Commissioners to take action against roadside encroachments, illegal sale of unsafe LPG gas, and professional beggars in their districts.
According to a Commissioner Karachi office handout, Assistant Commissioners are taking daily actions on various civic issues.
Deputy Commissioner East Nasrullah Abbasi submitted its district report informing the commissioner that 20 professional beggars were arrested in Ferozabad sub-division by the Assistant Commissioner Javeria Ashraf.
Deputy Commissioner Malir Samiullah Sheikh submitted the report informing the commissioner that action against illegal LPG gas sales in the Airport sub-division was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Abdul Basit.
He took action against two shops with a fine of Rs 10,000 for SOP violations.
Deputy Commissioner Central Taha Saleem submitted report of action for anti-encroachment, saying that Assistant Commissioner North Nasimbad Humair Ahmed that he carried at Iqbal Plaza near Nagan Chowrangi. Commissioner Naqvi directed Deputy Commissioners to continue efforts to improve traffic flow, remove encroachments, and prevent illegal parking.
He also asked them to curb professional beggars, ensuring they’re not seen around intersections and markets.
