KARACHI, Nov 11 (APP):Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi visited Kamran Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and inspected the ongoing work on the Kamran Chowrangi underpass.
He took notice of the poor condition of the alternative route and directed that priority measures be taken to repair and improve it as soon as possible. He gave the officials one week to complete the task, saying that the poor condition of the alternative route was causing difficulties for citizens and traffic.
The Commissioner was informed that alternative routes were built on both sides of the underpass, but the leakage in water and sewerage lines affected the alternative route in some places. The repair work and complete restoration of the alternative route have now started.
The Commissioner decided that the Deputy Commissioner Abrar Jaffer would supervise the repair of the alternative route and ensure that the improvement work is completed soon.
He was also directed to strengthen coordination with utility agencies and traffic police engineers and help remove obstacles to the timely completion of the project.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Abrar Jafer, Director Development Commissioner Karachi Office, Naseem Ahmad Bhutto, Project Director, and others were present.
