Commissioner holds meeting for wheat plan
SARGODHA, Oct 03 (APP):Commissioner Shoukat Ali had formed a divisional level Wheat Crop Management Committee
to make the Wheat Campaign 2026-27 a success.
According to a notification issued, the convener of the committee will be the Commissioner,
while the Deputy Commissioners Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar, Director Agriculture Extension (Member/Secretary), Director Public Relations, Deputy Director Food, Chief Engineer Irrigation, and officers of Crop Reporting Service will be members.
The committee will include Farhan Ghouri, Regional Manager of Fertilizer Company FFC, Syed Arshad Hussain Rizvi of Pesticide Company Agrarian Crop Sciences, Khalid Mahmood of Seed Company Jalandhar Seed, while representatives of grain market, fertilizer and pesticide dealers have also been included.
In addition, progressive farmers of four districts Rahim Dad (Sargodha), Malik Ismatullah Buchhal (Khushab), Abdul Qadir Khan (Mianwali) and Shahbaz Akhtar (Bhakkar) will also be part of the committee.
The duties of the committee include monitoring the implementation of the approved plan for the wheat
campaign, conducting awareness campaigns to increase area and production, ensuring the availability
of seeds, fertilizers, herbicides and canal water at standard and fixed rates, holding review meetings every 15 days, and achieving higher production targets than the previous year and achieving a prominent position at the division, district and tehsil levels
