ABBOTTABAD, Nov 08 (APP): A high-level meeting regarding the upcoming Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign was held on Saturday at the Commissioner’s Office Abbottabad under the chairmanship of Commissioner Hazara Division. The meeting reviewed the district-wise preparations for the campaign.
Deputy Commissioners, District Health Officers, EPI Coordinators, and representatives from relevant departments of all districts in the Hazara Division attended the session.
Addressing the participants, the Commissioner emphasized that protecting children from measles and rubella was among the government’s top public health priorities. He directed all districts to finalize their preparations on time and ensure coordinated planning and execution of the campaign.
The Commissioner also instructed that political leaders, religious scholars, and local representatives be engaged in awareness efforts to build public trust and encourage parents to get their children vaccinated. He stressed that social mobilization activities should be intensified to increase outreach and participation.
Highlighting the importance of logistics, the Commissioner ordered all districts to ensure the availability of vaccines, proper cold chain management, and timely logistical support. He further emphasized strict implementation of real-time data reporting and monitoring mechanisms during the campaign.
“This campaign is a national responsibility for a healthier and safer future of our children,” the Commissioner said, warning that negligence at any level would not be tolerated.
Officials from all districts assured the Commissioner that necessary arrangements had been completed and that all teams would perform their duties with full dedication to make the campaign a success.
