MULTAN, Jul 10 (APP):Commissioner Amir Karim Khan on Thursday directed the district administration and relevant departments to implement a zero-tolerance policy for improving performance indicators.
Presiding over a meeting to review district-wise performance, he ordered strict action against hoarders and emphasized maintaining fair prices of essential food and utility items.
He highlighted that clean Punjab and anti-encroachment drives are flagship initiatives of the Punjab government.
The commissioner stressed that providing basic health facilities to the public was a key objective of the Punjab chief minister.
He instructed revenue officers to identify encroachments in various parts of the city and prepare a comprehensive plan to remove them across the division.
He also directed regular inspections of ongoing development projects, as well as consistent monitoring of educational and health institutions to ensure better service delivery to citizens.
The commissioner warned that no building or infrastructure should be constructed without approval from the relevant authority.
Officials briefed the commissioner on the construction of public toilets, establishment of cart markets, and installation of traffic signals.
The meeting was attended by deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners from four districts of the division.
