MIRPURKHAS, Jul 23 (APP):Commissioner Faisal Ahmed Uqeli on Tuesday ordered to constitute committees at tehsil level to monitor the work of Left Bank Outfall Drainage (LBOD) system.
According to to hand out issued here , the committees would resolve the problems of urban flooding in Mirpurkhas, Umarkot and Tharparkar districts.
The chairman of committee in respective tehsil would be acting commissioner while the members would include sub-divisional police officer, chairmen town committee and union council, representatives of irrigation department, Nara canal and LBOD department.
The committees will ensure coordination in case of rain emergency and flood-like situation after every 15 days, it added.
WhatsApp group will be formed for mutual coordination of the official concerned.
The members of the committees would visit the week embankments to monitor the flood like situation, the handout said.
The assistant commissioners will report about the flood-like situations to the concerned deputy commissioners
