BAHAWALPUR, Jan 01 (APP):Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Musarrat Jabeen, along with Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza, conducted a detailed visit to various areas of the city to review ongoing development, cleanliness and beautification projects.
During the visit, they inspected Fareed Gate, Library Chowk, Khatm-e-Nabuwat Chowk and Fatah Chowk, and also reviewed the condition of the General Bus Stand, Dr. Raja Road and other major city roads. The Commissioner inspected development works in progress on Bindra Pulli, Dewanwali Pulli, Saddar Pulli and Baghdad Road and directed the concerned departments to complete all projects within the stipulated timelines without compromising on construction quality. The visit also included a comprehensive review of road repair works, beautification initiatives, and the condition of green belts, bus waiting areas, pushcart markets and public parks, with special emphasis on cleanliness and aesthetics.
Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen stated that, under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the “Suthra Punjab” mission, efforts to ensure cleanliness, beautification and a waste-free environment in Bahawalpur are being carried out at a rapid pace and will be taken to completion. She reaffirmed the commitment to transforming Bahawalpur into a clean, attractive and citizen-friendly city. She further said that under the “Sarkain Bahaal, Punjab Khushaal” program, all major and internal roads of the city will be repaired to provide safe and comfortable travel facilities to the public. The rehabilitation of roads, she added, will improve access to educational institutions, hospitals and commercial centers, while all link roads connecting dilapidated streets to main thoroughfares will also be repaired. Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza directed the relevant officers to accelerate development works with public convenience as the top priority and to ensure the sustained cleanliness and beautification of the city.
