Dera Ismail Khan , Oct 31 (APP):A key meeting on the Recharge Pakistan Project was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Zafar-ul-Islam Khattak here Friday. The project, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and implemented in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), is currently underway in four districts of the Dera Ismail Khan Division.
Assistant Commissioner (P&D) Sajad Baloch, district officials of relevant departments, deputy commissioners and staff from the WWF Recharge Pakistan Site Office, attended the meeting.
The session reviewed the targets achieved during 2025 and discussed proposed initiatives and budget planning for 2026. Representatives from the Agriculture, Forest, and Irrigation Departments briefed the commissioner on their performance and upcoming plans.
Commissioner Zafar-ul-Islam Khattak issued directions to the concerned departments for effective implementation of the Recharge Pakistan Project, terming it a golden opportunity for the development of the region. He emphasized that the project must be executed with full responsibility and commitment.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the commissioner thanked all participants and expressed best wishes for the project’s successful progress.
