FAISALABAD, Nov 08 (APP): Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar has announced the launch of the “Flood Relief Appreciation Awards” to recognize the outstanding contributions of officers, officials, NGOs, and private individuals who provided exceptional service during the recent floods across the division.
A spokesperson for the local administration confirmed on Saturday that nominations for the awards are being sought from the four Deputy Commissioners of the division, with a submission deadline of November 25. The awards aim to honor those who displayed unwavering commitment, courage, and remarkable service in supporting the district administration’s flood relief and rehabilitation efforts.
A divisional award committee has been formed to ensure transparency in the nomination and selection process. This committee will evaluate contributions in areas such as rescue operations, citizen evacuation, relief shelter management, medical assistance, and the maintenance of food supply chains during the floods.
Raja Jahangir Anwar emphasized that the awards would recognize the spirit of service and dedication shown by both public and private sector entities during such challenging times. He stated that this initiative would not only celebrate humanitarian efforts but also foster a culture of public service and community cooperation for future emergencies.
The Flood Relief Appreciation Awards are expected to strengthen collaboration between government departments, NGOs, and citizens, highlighting their crucial roles in ensuring effective disaster management and relief operations throughout Faisalabad division.
