PESHAWAR, Feb 24 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Tuesday took serious notice of the Kohat incident in which a DSP and his fellow police personnel were martyred due to terrorist firing, and strongly condemned the attack.
The CM sought a detailed report of the incident from the Inspector General of Police, terming the incident highly unfortunate.
He said the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain adding that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police was the first line of defence against terrorism and their sacrifices were unforgettable.
He said that cowardly acts of terrorists could not shake the resolve of the police force.
Muhammad Sohail Afridi said the provincial government stood in complete solidarity with the families of the martyrs and shared their grief.
The CM prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and patience for the bereaved families.
He also directed that the injured be provided with the best possible medical facilities and wished them a speedy recovery.
