LAHORE, Jun 10 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and his economic team for presenting a people-centric and balanced federal budget for the fiscal year 2025–26.
In her statement, the chief minister lauded the federal government for delivering Pakistan’s first truly employee-friendly, farmer-friendly, industrialist-friendly, and public-friendly budget. She said the achievement was made possible under the visionary guidance of PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. “This is a budget that prioritizes sustainable development, economic stability, and public welfare,” she remarked. “By the grace of Allah Almighty, this new fiscal year’s budget will usher in an era of prosperity and relief for the people of Pakistan.”
She emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive growth, stating, “The PML-N government is dedicated to ensuring that the dividends of economic progress reach every citizen. Pakistan is now firmly on the path to recovery and advancement after emerging from economic challenges.”
CM Maryam Nawaz noted that a record allocation for the education and health sectors reflects the government’s patriotic vision and people-first approach. “This budget clearly demonstrates the government’s resolve to break free from IMF dependency and pave the way for a self-reliant and prosperous Pakistan,” she added.
She said that the middle class has received meaningful relief, and artificial inflation will continue to decline. “Our journey towards sustainable development has begun. The days of ease, stability, and comfort are finally within reach for the people of Pakistan,” she said.
