FAISALABAD, Jun 11 (APP):The CM Livestock card is a revolutionary step towards economic independence of farmers, better livestock care and revival of the rural economy.
Livestock Director Dr Nadeem Badar on Wednesday said that the 2nd phase of registration for the CM livestock cards is underway across the division.
Under this phase, eligible farmers have the opportunity to avail interest-free loans from Rs 135,000 to Rs 540,000.
The farmers will return the loan amount in the 7th month after six months of use.
He said that in the second phase, the farmers would also get the facility of withdrawing 30 percent of the loan in cash, in addition to purchase of Wanda, silage and mineral mixtures from registered dealers.
The applicant must be a resident of Punjab province and he should be registered at 9211 system of the livestock department. A valid CNIC, active mobile SIM, identity verified by NADRA and NACTA and a clean credit history from the Electronic Credit Information Bureau are also mandatory.
He asked the farmers to send an SMS to 8070 by typing their CNIC number after the space ‘PLC’ from their registered mobile number.
He said that the selection of applicants will be made on a ‘first come-first served’ basis to ensure transparency. The verification of farmers and their animals will be made through the Urban Unit.
He further said that the livestock card holders who have completed the payment of the first phase will be given priority in the phase-II.
