PESHAWAR, Nov 06 (APP): Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Thursday issued a series of key directives aimed at speeding up development activities and ensuring transparency and quality in public sector projects across the province.
Chairing an important meeting of the Communication and Works (C&W) Department here, the CM directed authorities to complete land acquisition for Tehsil and District Complexes in the merged districts within one month and to begin construction work by December.
He also sought a detailed report on reconstruction funds allocated for flood-affected areas.
Afridi instructed that all ongoing development projects be classified according to their completion stages, emphasizing that projects nearing completion should receive full funding to make their inauguration possible on a priority basis.
He made it clear that no compromise would be accepted on the quality of development works, directing officers to accelerate project execution and increase field visits to monitor on-ground progress.
Highlighting the funds released by the federal government for the merged districts, the CM mentioned that the federal government had received Rs 158 billion over the past seven years.
Reaffirming his government’s resolve, CM Afridi said the provincial administration is committed to ensuring high-quality, transparent, and timely completion of development projects, particularly in the merged districts, to promote sustainable progress and improve public service delivery.
