CM ensures fodder supply for livestock in flood-hit areas

LAHORE, Aug 31 (APP):On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, provision of fodder for livestock in flood-affected areas across the province has been ensured.
According to a briefing given to the Chief Minister, here on Sunday, cattle feed has been supplied in Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Jhang, Bahawalnagar, Faisalabad and Gujranwala, while Anmol Vanda (high-quality cattle fodder) is being distributed in flood relief camps in Pakpattan. Similar arrangements have been made in Hafizabad, Okara, Nankana Sahib, Bahawalpur, Vehari and other affected districts. The Livestock Department is also providing veterinary and advisory services to farmers in flood-hit areas.
On the Chief Minister’s instructions, approximately 550,000 animals have so far been safely relocated from vulnerable areas. During her visit to Talwar Post, Madam Chief Minister personally witnessed the arrival of cattle on a raft from submerged villages, alongside the rescued families.
