CM commends police officers injured in Shikarpur operation, orders intensified action against criminal gangs

KARACHI, Dec 09 (APP): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid tributes o the bravery of police officers and personnel injured during an operation against dacoit and criminal gangs in Shikarpur.
  •     He directed the police to intensify actions against dacoit gangs and ensure full restoration of law and order in the district.
    The Chief Minister expressed solidarity with DSP City Shikarpur Pars Bakrani, DSP Garhi Yasin Zahoor Soomro, and four injured personnel, conveying his prayers for their speedy recovery.
   The CM instructed Chairman District Council Sukkur Syed Kumail Shah to arrange an air ambulance for the injured officers if necessary, ensuring they receive the best possible medical treatment.
   “Those dacoits who do not surrender will face strict action,” warned the CM.
   Murad Ali Shah emphasised that police have been given clear directions to uphold the state’s authority in Shikarpur. “No leniency will be tolerated. Criminal elements must be eliminated, and peace must be restored in Shikarpur,” he stressed.
    Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon briefed the Chief Minister about the latest law-enforcement action in Manchhar Shah, Shikarpur.
   He reported that DSP Pars Bakrani, DSP Zahoor Soomro, and two police personnel were injured during an armed attack by dacoits and were swiftly shifted to the hospital.
    The IGP added that nine criminals were killed in the encounter, including the neutralisation of the ring leaders. The dacoits were wanted for several serious crimes, such as kidnapping for ransom and other violent offences.
   Police used armoured vehicles and drone technology during the operation, enhancing both safety and precision.
The Chief Minister directed police to expand operations throughout Shikarpur and nearby areas to eradicate the remaining criminal networks. “Operations must continue with full force. Anyone attempting to disrupt peace will be dealt with strictly,” he ordered.
    He reiterated the government’s commitment to restoring lasting peace in Shikarpur and assured full support for police operations in the district.
