CM chairs meeting of Hazara Division parliamentarians

PESHAWAR, Feb 24 (APP): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Tuesday chaired a meeting of Hazara Division parliamentarians at Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad, said a release issued here.
The demand for the dualisation of Haripur to Mansehra GT Road was put forward on which the CM announced that the provincial government would provide financial support and extend full cooperation for the project in order to facilitate the public.
The meeting also held consultations regarding the preparation of upcoming Annual Development Program and reviewed developmental needs of the division.
KP CM announced the formulation of a special comprehensive development package worth Rs 200 billion for Hazara Division and directed that Rs 50 billion from this package be specifically allocated for tourism related projects to fully harness the region’s potential.
He further directed that a separate consultative session be convened with parliamentarians for proposals of schemes to be included in the special development plan so that practical and sustainable projects could be designed in accordance with local needs and priorities.
Chief Minister stated that the development planning for the next fiscal year would be distinct and more impactful with incorporation of arge scale and public importance projects. He stated that priority would be given to the prompt completion of ongoing schemes to translate development initiatives into tangible public relief.
He also announced that the notification for granting district status to Allai would be issued to bring administrative affairs closer to the people and to improve service delivery at the local level.
Furthermore, he directed that all PC 1 documents for development projects be completed before finalizing the ADP to ensure transparent and efficient utilization of resources.
Speaker KP assembly and elected members of national and provincial assemblies from Hazara Division attended the meeting.
